Entries are now open for the highly popular clubgolf Scottish Hydro Challenge Pro Am at Spey Valley Golf Course on Monday 20 June 2011.
This event provides a wonderful opportunity for 60 clubgolf coaches actively involved in junior coaching at their club in 2011 to play the spectacular course in the company of European Challenge Tour Pro.
It is organised as part of clubgolf's association with the European Challenge, Tour EventScotland and Macdonald Hotels and has grown in popularity over the last six years.
Lothianburn volunteer coaches Alan Greenshields, Hazel Carpenter and Gareth Jack were victorious in the 2010 clubgolf Pro Am, winning a return trip to the Spey Valley Golf Course, with Dinner Bed & Breakfast at the Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort included, courtesy of Macdonald Hotels.
This year Macdonald Hotels is again donating a first prize of Dinner Bed & Breakfast for four, plus golf at Spey Valley.
clubgolf’s Highlands & Island’s Manager, Willie Mackay said: “We are grateful to European Challenge Tour, EventScotland and Macdonald Hotels for their continued support in providing a Pro Am for clubgolf during the championship week. The sixty volunteer coaches who will be in this year’s draw can look forward to a great day out at the magnificent Spey Valley golf course, followed by dinner at the Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort.”
The clubgolf Pro Am is scheduled for Monday 20 June preceeding the Challenge Tour "Scottish Hydro Challenge" which will be played over the same course from Thursday 23 to Sunday 26 June.
Closing date for entries is Friday 13 May, 2011
