Coaching
grant for Dunning
Dunning
Golf Club, which joined forces with clubgolf this year, has
been awarded a Coach Education Grant of £320 by Perth & Kinross
Sports Council.
The
grant, presented by Iain Brown from Perth & Kinross Sports
Council, will pay the cost of training four of the Club’s
Management Committee who participated in the clubgolf PGA Level
1 coaching course in May.
“We
would like to express our thanks to Perth & Kinross Sports
Council for this generous grant, and to Mr. Brown for taking
the time to come and present it personally,” said Dunning’s
Secretary, Dugald Cantlay
“We
have a very enthusiastic junior section, which numbers 65 out
of our total membership of 523 and we have great support from
parents, grandparents, guardians, and our Visiting Professional.
“This,
to us, represented the future of Dunning Golf Club, and so
we agreed with Committee support, to undertake the PGA Level
1 Coaching Course.
“It
proved to be e very enjoyable and rewarding experience, and
though the two days were demanding, I think we are seeing the
benefits at Club level already. I know my own golf has improved
as a result!”
