South Ayrshire firstclubgolf festivals

The drive to introduce every Primary 5 child in South Ayrshire to golf reached a new high this summer with every Primary 5 pupil in the area having the opportunity to experience clubgolf’s introductory game for the first time.

Some 1,180 pupils played firstclubgolf and following their in school introduction all of them were invited to five new outdoor festivals organised by Active Schools (pictured attached).

“I was delighted that all primary schools in South Ayrshire delivered firstclubgolf to their Primary 5 pupils,” said Catherine Malcolm, South Ayrshire Junior Golf Coordinator Junior Golf Coordinator

“Hopefully the festivals we ran afterwards will become a regular fixture on the calendar.”
