Kilbride golfer wins prestigious competition

Kilbride’s
Emily Glencorse won the Junior Girls Open at held
at Millport Golf Course.
Emily finished ahead of her sister Julie Glencorse
and defending champion Rachel Costello after playing
outstanding golf on the day and posting her season’s
best score.

Golf Club’s Honorary President, presented the
prestigious trophy
Emily and Julie have come through Torrance House
Junior Academy coaching program and the latest success
consolidates Torrance House's reputation in providing
the core coaching programme of skills, learning,
practice, and competition play for 9-18 year old
boys and girls.
Torrance House was one of the first club’s
in Scotland to offer clubgolf coaching. A lasting
legacy to Scotland’s successful bid to host
the Ryder Cup, clubgolf is the national junior golf
programme formed through the partnership of the Scottish
Golf Union, the Scottish Ladies' Golfing Association,
the Professional Golfers' Association, the Golf Foundation
and sportscotland.
